AE-Series "Flat Panel" Solar Thermal Collectors, manufactured in The United States by Alternate Energy Technologies (AET), are designed to meet the needs of any solar system including solar hot water, space heating, radiant floor heating or industrial process heat. AET is dedicated to building the AE-Series Collectors from the finest materials and with the highest standards of craftsmanship.

The System Kit includes all of the parts and components to properly install a complete solar water heating system. Optional add-ons allow you to customize this kit for your specific needs.

How your solar water system operates:

As sunlight falls on the solar collector (1) the solid copper absorbers begin to heat up. When the solar controller (4) senses the collector is 12 to 16 degrees hotter than the storage tank (2) it supplies power to the pumps in the PROPAC™ unit (3). One pump lifts water from the drain back tank to the collector and returns it to the stainless steel Heat Exchanger. A second pump moves water from the storage tank to the HX and back. The cycle continues until there is no heat available from the collector. When the pumps are turned off all the water in the collector drains back to the PROPAC™ unit.

STORAGE TANK - Lochinvar Tank Features:
The TSA (Tank System Assembly ) is pre plumbed and wired as a complete assembly. It contains the water heater tank, pump controller, tank sensor, drain valve, system drain valve and the wiring and piping to make all connections. The TSA, the collectors and the interconnect piping make up the complete system.

The PROPAC™ from Energy Labs is a fully assembled solar heating system fluid handling package. It employs the proven, reliable, low maintenance system configuration known as "DrainBack". All pumps, valves, plumbing, sensors, controls and heat exchanger are installed and tested prior to shipment. When the PROPAC™ arrives it is fully ready to connect to your heating system without further assembly. Collector interconnect lines can be either copper or PEX.
